The main objectives of the course are the following:

- Knowledge about basic aspects of polymeric materials used in the textile industry. - Knowledge of the main routes of synthesis of fiber forming polymers and their specific characteristics to be turned into fibers.

- Knowledge of the stages of structure organization until the fiber level.

-Acquiring of test and identification skills of fiber forming polymers. - Knowledge of structure-property correlation and its and its impact on processing and end-product behaviour.
